ALD Connect

Peer Mentor Program

Our Peer Mentor Program is designed to provide support and guidance to individuals and families affected by adrenoleukodystrophy through the experience and empathy of those who have navigated similar challenges. The program pairs newly diagnosed patients and their families with experienced mentors who offer personalized advice, emotional support, and practical information about living with ALD.

About the Peer Mentor Program

By connecting individuals with mentors who understand their journey, the program helps build a sense of community, alleviate feelings of isolation, and provide valuable insights that can make managing ALD more manageable and empowering.

Our mentors are committed to forming relationships based on respect, confidentiality, and mutual understanding. The primary goal of the Peer Mentor Program is to enhance collaboration and accessibility within the ALD Connect community, ensuring that those affected by ALD/AMN have the support they need from someone who truly understands their journey.
