We are thrilled to introduce our newest Peer Mentor! Christie Higuera is an ALD patient and the mom of two children with ALD -Rainey (4) and Zoli (18 months). Her family lives in Massachusetts and found out about ALD when Zoli was diagnosed through the newborn screen. She is eager to support others in the ALD community who need a compassionate sounding board and resource.

ALD Connect strives to engage the next generation of researchers and accelerate ALD research. This new grant opportunity helps us achieve both goals.
